Tennis Court Lighting Designs by Wydels Electrical
Case Study - Tennis Court
Lighting a Tennis Court requires for a different kind of lighting design than say for instance a Car Park. One of the most important components of this is to have a uniform illumination over the playing area as well as the court lines and the ball should be seen clearly. In addition there should be adequate illumination above the players head height to allow a ball that has been played high to be seen..
This project was a tennis court in a private residence, it needed illuminating to a high standard of lighting but also keeping in mind neighbouring properties. Due to this requirements the columns needed to be at a smaller height than usual. This project used 4 columns either side of the Tennis Court with 2 x 500W Sports Arena LED Floodlights on each column. This produced a lighting level that hit all the key factors required for the customer on lighting levels, keeping light spillage to a minimum as well as excellent uniformity across the Tennis Court. The end result was the Tennis Court now has light levels that where between club and county levels at a private residence.
