Available Wattages
200W STADIA LED Floodlight
The 200W version is suitable for smaller sports areas, lower mounting heights, perimeter lighting and projects where multiple floodlights are used to create an even lighting distribution.
600W STADIA LED Floodlight
The 600W version provides a higher-output solution for larger courts, sports pitches and commercial areas requiring increased projection from higher mounting positions.
1200W STADIA LED Floodlight
The 1200W version is designed for demanding sports and large-area lighting projects where very high output and longer-distance light projection are required.
The appropriate wattage will depend on the size of the area, mounting height, column positions, target illumination and required uniformity.
Colour Temperature Options
4000K Cool White
The 4000K option provides a balanced cool-white appearance and is suitable for projects where a softer, less visually harsh lighting environment is preferred.
5700K Daylight White
The 5700K option provides a cooler daylight-white appearance and may be selected for sports applications where a crisp, high-visibility lighting environment is required.
Beam Angle & Optic Options
30° Narrow Beam
The 30° optic provides a concentrated light distribution for longer-distance projection. It is generally suited to higher mounting positions or applications where light needs to be directed towards more distant areas.
90° Wide Beam
The 90° optic provides a wider light distribution for general area coverage. It is suitable where the floodlight is positioned closer to the target area or where broader coverage is required.
111° × 28° Asymmetric Optic – 50° Polarised
The asymmetric optic produces a broad forward light distribution and is intended for perimeter-mounted floodlights where light needs to be projected across the playing area.
The correct optic should always be selected according to the mounting position, height, aiming angle and required lighting performance.

Frequently Asked Questions
What wattages are available in the STADIA LED Sports Floodlight range?
The STADIA LED Sports Floodlight is available in 200W, 600W and 1200W versions, allowing the range to cover smaller sports areas through to large pitches, arenas and high-output exterior lighting projects.
What colour temperatures are available?
The STADIA range is available in 4000K cool white or 5700K daylight white. The most appropriate colour temperature will depend on the application, surrounding environment and project requirements.
What beam angles and optics are available?
The STADIA range is available with narrow-beam, wide-beam and asymmetric optical distributions, depending on the selected model.
Options include a 30° narrow beam for longer-distance projection and a 111° × 28° asymmetric optic with 50° polarisation for broad forward distribution from perimeter-mounted positions.
The correct optic should be selected according to the mounting height, column position, aiming angle, dimensions of the area and required lighting performance.
What is the difference between the narrow and asymmetric optics?
The narrow-beam optic concentrates the available light into a tighter distribution, making it useful where light needs to be projected over a greater distance from higher mounting positions.
The asymmetric optic produces a broad forward distribution and is particularly useful where floodlights are mounted around the perimeter of a pitch, court or arena and need to project light into the playing area.
What applications is the STADIA LED Floodlight suitable for?
The STADIA range is designed for professional sports and large-area exterior lighting applications including football and rugby pitches, tennis and padel courts, MUGAs, hockey pitches, athletics facilities, equestrian arenas, schools, training grounds and large commercial exterior areas.
How much light output does the STADIA range provide?
Lumen output varies according to the selected wattage, colour temperature and optical distribution.
The highest-output 1200W configurations provide more than 200,000 lumens, while the 200W and 600W models provide lower outputs for projects requiring reduced power or multiple floodlights positioned around the illuminated area.
Is the STADIA LED Sports Floodlight dimmable?
Yes. The STADIA range is available with dimming and control options, making it suitable for projects where different lighting levels or operating modes are required.
Contact Wydels with the project requirements if a specific lighting control system or dimming arrangement is required.
What IP and impact ratings does the STADIA Floodlight have?
The STADIA LED Sports Floodlight is rated IP66 for ingress protection and IK10 for impact resistance, providing robust protection for demanding exterior sports and commercial installations.
Does the STADIA Floodlight include surge protection?
Yes. The STADIA range incorporates 10kV surge protection to provide additional protection against transient overvoltage in exterior lighting installations.
Are accessories available for the STADIA Floodlight?
Yes. Optional accessories are available including visors and light cut-offs, aiming devices, glass guards and wire guards.
Contact Wydels if accessories are required so that the correct items can be selected for the proposed floodlight configuration.
Can the STADIA Floodlight be mounted on lighting columns?
Yes. The STADIA range can be used with suitable lighting columns and floodlight brackets, subject to the column being suitable for the combined luminaire weight, bracket arrangement and projected windage.
Column height, equipment weight, windage, geographical location and site exposure should all be considered when selecting the mounting system.
What is the windage of the STADIA LED Floodlights?
At a 30° mounting angle, the published windage areas are approximately 0.02m² for the 200W model, 0.06m² for the 600W model and 0.12m² for the 1200W model.
The complete mounting arrangement should always be checked against the capacity of the selected lighting column and bracket.
What warranty is supplied with the STADIA LED Sports Floodlight?
The STADIA LED Sports Floodlight range is supplied with a 5-year warranty.
Can Wydels provide a sports lighting design using STADIA Floodlights?
Yes. Wydels provides a free professional sports lighting-design service to determine suitable floodlight wattages, optics, quantities, mounting heights, aiming angles and column positions for the project.
Lighting calculations can assess average illumination, minimum and maximum illumination, uniformity and the overall distribution of light across the proposed playing area.
