Pre-Assembled M16 Foundation Anchor Cage Kit for 3m–6m Lighting Columns
The Wydels M16 Lighting Column Foundation Kit is a pre-assembled anchor cage designed to simplify the installation of 3m to 6m flange-plated lighting columns.
Rather than setting and aligning individual holding-down bolts within the concrete foundation, the complete frame is supplied pre-built with four M16 threaded anchor points positioned at 200mm × 200mm centres. The assembly can be positioned within the prepared foundation before the concrete is placed, providing an accurately aligned fixing arrangement ready for installation of the lighting column once the concrete has fully cured.
The M16 threaded sections are manufactured from high-tensile Grade 10.9 steel with a BZP finish. The frame also allows adjustment of the exposed bolt projection, enabling the installer to set the required amount of M16 thread above the finished concrete level.
A central 95mm diameter opening provides a clear route for electrical ducting and cabling through the centre of the lighting column flange plate.

Supplied Fixings
Each foundation kit is supplied complete with the fixings required for securing the lighting column flange plate.
The fixing set includes:
• 8 × M16 nuts – two per anchor point
• 4 × square plate washers
• 4 × protective nut/thread caps
The two-nut arrangement at each fixing point provides adjustment when positioning and securing the flange-plated column.

Simplified Flange Plate Column Installation
The pre-built frame holds all four M16 anchor points at the correct 200mm × 200mm centres before and during installation.
The cage is positioned and securely supported within the prepared foundation, with the required bolt projection set above the intended finished concrete level. Electrical ducting can be routed through the 95mm central opening before the concrete is placed around the assembly.
Once the concrete has achieved the required strength, the flange-plated lighting column can be positioned directly over the four M16 fixing points and secured using the supplied nuts and plate washers.
The foundation kit provides the fixing arrangement for the lighting column but does not determine the required concrete foundation dimensions. Foundation size and design should be suitable for the selected column, installed equipment, local ground conditions, wind exposure and project location.
