20W–100W POLARIS LED Street Lantern with Selectable Wattage & CCT

The POLARIS LED Street Lantern is a highly versatile commercial and industrial exterior luminaire combining selectable wattage, adjustable colour temperature and photocell-ready operation within a robust IP66 housing.

Available across two body sizes, the POLARIS range provides selectable outputs from 20W to 100W, allowing the required power and light output to be configured on site without changing the luminaire.

Each lantern is also colour-temperature selectable between 3000K, 4000K and 5000K, providing flexibility for different environments and project requirements.

A 60° × 120° asymmetric optical distribution directs useful light forward from the lighting column, making the POLARIS particularly suitable for car parks, access roads, industrial estates, private roads, commercial premises and general exterior area lighting.

Wattage-Selectable Models

POLARIS I – 20W / 40W / 60W

The POLARIS I allows three different power settings to be selected within the same lantern.

At 4000K:

  • 20W – 3,300 lumens
  • 40W – 6,000 lumens
  • 60W – 9,100 lumens

This makes the POLARIS I particularly suitable for lower mounting heights, pathways, smaller car parks, access roads and general commercial exterior lighting.

POLARIS II – 80W / 100W

The larger POLARIS II provides two selectable output settings for applications requiring higher illumination levels or greater mounting heights.

At 4000K:

  • 80W – 11,500 lumens
  • 100W – 15,000 lumens

The selectable wattages and published 4000K outputs are those currently specified for the POLARIS range. Wydels Electrical Wholesalers

CCT Selectable – 3000K, 4000K & 5000K

Each POLARIS lantern allows the colour temperature to be selected on site.

3000K Warm White

3000K provides a warmer night-time appearance and can be particularly useful for residential surroundings, amenity areas and environmentally sensitive applications where a warmer colour temperature is preferred.

4000K Cool White

4000K provides a balanced white appearance and is suitable for the majority of commercial car parks, access roads, industrial estates and general exterior-lighting projects.

5000K Daylight White

5000K provides a cooler, brighter appearance for industrial, security and commercial applications where a crisp daylight-style light is preferred.

The selectable 3000K, 4000K and 5000K options allow the same lantern to be used across projects with different environmental and operational requirements. Wydels Electrical Wholesalers

60° × 120° Asymmetric Optic

The POLARIS uses a 60° × 120° asymmetric optical distribution designed to project useful light forward from the mounting position.

This makes it particularly suitable for lighting columns positioned along the perimeter of roads, car parks, pathways and commercial sites.

The asymmetric distribution helps direct more of the available light towards the target area rather than producing an equal amount of light behind the lantern.

Mounting height, column spacing, wattage and lantern position should all be considered when designing the lighting scheme.

NEMA Photocell Ready

The POLARIS is supplied with a pre-installed NEMA socket, providing a convenient method of adding automatic dusk-to-dawn control.

Two product options are available:

  • No Photocell – supplied for conventional switching or external control
  • With Photocell – supplied complete with a compatible NEMA photocell

The photocell can automatically switch the lantern according to ambient daylight conditions without requiring a separate remote photocell installation.

Tool-Free Maintenance Access

The POLARIS incorporates a hinged housing design to provide straightforward access to the internal components.

Tool-free access can simplify electrical connection, maintenance and future component inspection without requiring the complete lantern to be removed from the column.

Robust Exterior Construction

The POLARIS is manufactured using die-cast marine-grade aluminium with a tempered glass optical cover.

An IP66 ingress-protection rating provides protection against dust and powerful water jets, while the IK08 impact rating provides additional resistance against accidental impact.

The lantern is designed to operate in ambient temperatures from -20°C to +50°C, making it suitable for permanent exterior installations throughout the UK. Wydels Electrical Wholesalers

96,000-Hour Rated Life

The POLARIS range has a published rated life of 96,000 hours, providing a long-life LED solution for commercial and industrial exterior lighting installations.

Combined with its selectable wattage and CCT functions, this allows lighting requirements to be adjusted in the future without necessarily replacing the complete luminaire. Wydels Electrical Wholesalers
